How we Help

At Cancer Support Community Atlanta we are dedicated to enriching the lives of the men and women who face cancer every day. There truly is something for everyone - support groups, cooking demonstrations, educational seminars, gentle exercise classes, social gatherings, and above all, new friendships.

All of our programs are evidence-based, led by licensed and certified professionals, and always free of charge. Each provides an opportunity for cancer survivors to meet others who can support and encourage them along the way.

The majority of our programs take place at our 8,000 square foot home-like space, which is adjacent to the Northside Hospital Cancer Institute with whom we have a valuable affiliation. Programs are also offered at community locations throughout Georgia.

We focus on six main areas that promote active living and learning:

After I finished chemotherapy, I went back to my regular life. My body was broken down from all of the chemicals in my system, and I needed to change my lifestyle in terms of what I eat and what I do every day. Then I found out about the Cancer Support Community. It’s a wonderful place.

When I had my first meeting, I started crying. I said, well, I’m crying because I have cancer. And everybody said, well, me too, me too, me too. I realized that I was not alone. It has really made a difference in my life.
