Cancer Support Community Atlanta is the local chapter of the world's largest nonprofit provider of psychosocial oncology programs. Our mission is simple: help people affected by cancer enhance their health and well-being by giving them support, education, and hope.
Since opening our doors to Atlanta in 1997, we have provided cancer patients and their support teams with opportunities to learn, exercise, and socialize in a home-like setting. We have a valuable affiliation with Northside Hospital Cancer Institute, and our facilities and programs are open without charge to all people affected by cancer.
In April, we invite participants to bring a new, baffling, or recurring dream with them to class. We will explore dreams using creative writing and simple forms of art.
Join this interactive class for instruction on cooking techniques, tips, and tasty recipes featuring Fresh Market products. Participants are welcome to sample treats made during the workshop and will be given recipes to try at home.
Genetic Counselor from Northside Hospital’s Hereditary Cancer Program, Katie Lang, explores the latest in cancer genetics. She also discusses newly discovered genes, the cost and coverage of testing, and the importance of genetic testing.
